Star Citizen Referral Code
Add 50,000 UEC to your Star Citizen account for free

Creating Star Citizen account on the Roberts Space Industries (RSI) website is without obligation. In accordance with the referral plan proposed by CIG, the use of a referral code allows you to benefit from a 50,000 UEC bonus while being ready for the Free Fly events that are regularly organized during the year, in order to allow you to test the game.

For this, you just need to specify the referral code of a friend when you create your Star Citizen account, if you don't have any code, you can use the code STAR-QP2M-YLS3 from citizen-logbook.com.

Copy the code STAR-QP2M-YLS3 and paste it in the Star Citizen account creation form in the area provided, or follow this link to access: registration form with citizen-logbook code already in place.

STAR-QP2M-YLS3

The referral code can only be used when creating a Star Citizen account, and can only be added retroactively to an existing account within 24 hours of the account being created. It is therefore in your best interest to do so now.

What is the Referral Code?

It is the referral code from another player.

Is it mandatory to use a Referral Code?

No, but using one doesn't cost you anything and doesn't commit you to anything, simply specifying one will add 50,000 UEC to your account.

When should I use the Referral Code?

When you create your account.
You will be asked for it on the Enlist Now page of the RSI website, in the "Referral Code" box.

At one time, the referral code field was easy to miss because you had to click a button to display it. Today, this is no longer the case. It is so prominent that it is impossible to miss, located between the "birth date" section and the checkboxes at the end of the form. If you clicked on the Enlist Now link to access the form with the field pre-filled, this field will be located on the side of the form with your referrer's code correctly entered.

What do I get for using a Referral Code?

You will receive a bonus of 50,000 UEC, the game currency, as soon as your account is created, i.e. these 50,000 UEC will be present in your account even if you are on a trial period of the game.

In some cases, adding the Referral Code when creating your account may entitle you to a Referral Bonus, such as a Greycat PTV, a Dragonfly Black, or Quirinus Tech Artimex Lodestone armor and its Gemini A03 Lodestone long-range rifle, but this is exceptional and requires you to purchase your starter pack while the special promotion is in effect.

What does 50,000 UEC mean in game?

It's not a fortune, but you should know that once in the game you start with a flight suit, a helmet offering only the bare minimum in terms of protection, a handgun and its magazine, and a medpack, as well as your ship and a minimum of 1000 UEC from your starter pack.

Having a bonus of 50,000 UEC can allow you to buy your first FPS equipment, or to have a small reserve of UEC in case of trouble to pay the first expenses that can quickly arise in game as obviously fuel, ammunition, ship repairs, or even a fine, or worse, insurance costs in case of loss of the ship.

I don't know anyone who can sponsor me, how can I find a Referral Code?

There are many ways to get a code, most of the Streamers propose their code, some sites and forums propose code exchange systems,... and you can of course use the code proposed here:

STAR-QP2M-YLS3

Can I add a Referral Code later?

Yes, but it is best to specify this when creating your account to avoid any risk of forgetting or delay. You have 24 hours after creating your account to do so.

Once the account has been created and this 24-hour period has elapsed, you will no longer be able to add a Referral Code. The only way to benefit from the referral program will be to create a new account, which means not having made any purchases on your current account, or being able to transfer your entire account to the new one.

What happens if I forget to specify a code when creating my account, or within 24 hours thereafter?

You will not receive any additional credit or any other form of reward.

What should I do if I forget to enter a code when creating my account?

On the RSI website, when you click on your icon to access your account management dashboard, a "Referral Program" area will be displayed allowing you to add a code if you did not do so when creating your account.

After 24 hours, or after you have entered a code, this area will be replaced by your own referral code, which you can then share with your friends who want to join the game.

Do the ships and vehicles obtained through referral have insurance?

Yes, unless otherwise stated, it is an LTI.

Can I give the gifts from the referral to another player?

No, whether it is the 50,000 UEC or the gifts obtained through referral, all these items are linked to the account and cannot be passed on to another player.

I received a ship through referral but I don't use it, can I upgrade it to another one? Or can I melt it?

You can use this ship as a base for an upgrade and thus take advantage of its insurance which will probably be LTI. But be careful, it can't be Melt. So the base ship and everything you do on it will be permanent.

Can we cancel an upgrade made on a ship obtained via the Referral program?

Yes and no, by default the button Exchange is not present on the ships coming from the program of the Referral, you cannot therefore Melt it. However, if you want to cancel your upgrades, you can make a request to the support to give you back your original ship and the value of the upgrades as a credit.

I created my account a long time ago, but I don't remember if I used someone's referral code, before I use it to buy a starter pack, I would like to make sure I used a referral code, how do I do that?

The best way to know is to check the presence of the 50,000 UEC that are attributed at the creation of the account. Because if you have used a referral code, these 50,000 UEC are already present in your account.

To be sure, check your account on the RSI website, in the "Billing & Subscription" tab, you have a Credit line that details your total Store Credit, UEC and REC.

If your total UEC is over 50,000, it is very likely that you have used a referral code, but if you want to be sure, the easiest way is to click on the "UEC Log" button next to it, and in the winnings detail that appears, if you have the line "50,000 UEC - UEEREC enlistment bonus" it means that you have received 50,000 UEC from a referral code.

Please note that if you created this account BEFORE July 2, 2025, the amount will be "5,000 UEC" and not "50,000 UEC", so you may only have 5,000 UEC if this account was created before July 2.

Can I also offer to sponsor other players, family or friends?

Of course, once you have created your account, you will receive your own Referral Code that you will just have to pass on to others.

Where can I find my Referral Code?

Your code can be found in several places:

  • You will find it directly in the submenu that appears when you click on your avatar icon at the top of the site.

  • It is also available on the Referral Program page of the Roberts Space Industries (RSI) website, where you will find the reward ladder, the ranking of the top contributors, and your total referrals.

  • Finally, it is also available in the SETTINGS tab of your account management, under REFERRAL PROGRAM, along with a list of your prospects and recruits, as well as access to the legacy ladder if you already had recruits before the referral program update on July 2, 2025.

I plan to have several accounts, can I self-sponsor (to take advantage of the gifts)?

Yes, it is a practice already used by others, but do not abuse it too much.

If I use someone's Referral Code, I earn 50,000 UEC, but what does the owner of the code earn?

Rewards such as FPS armor and weapons, various hangar decorations, as well as vehicles and ships, ranging from the Pulse to the Idris-M or the fearsome "RAPTOR" from Misc.

Recrues Titre & Récompenses
1 CDS "GCD-Army" Medium Armor Set
2 VOLT Quartz "GCD-Army" SMG
3 Gladius Dunlevy Model
4 Mirai Pulse & "GCD-Army" Paint
5 VOLT Parallax "GCD-Army" Assault Rifle
6 Archibald Hurston Figurine
7 ArcCorp Cog Sphere Replica
8 Stormwal Sculpture Replica
9 Wally's Bar Hologram Replica
10 Big Benny's "Classic" Vending Machine
15 Spirit of the Starman Statue
25 Enemy of the Empire Statue
42 Aegis Gladius & "Dunlevy" Paint
50 MISC Raptor
75 Tumbril Storm & "GCD-Army" Paint
100 Freelancer MAX & "Big Brands" Paint Pack
200 Unannounced Vehicle (Véhicule non annoncé, sera dévoilé lors de la CitizenCon)
500 Captured Vanduul Scythe
1042 Idris-M

I heard that you could get a Gladius with only 10 referrals, but the current ranking puts the Gladius at 42 referrals. And I don't see the Javelin anymore. Why?

The Gladius was indeed a reward for 10 referrals, and you could get a Javelin. But that's the so-called "legacy" progression ladder. It is no longer in effect, except for those who had recruits BEFORE the referral program update on July 2, 2025.

During the update, the rewards were completely revamped and the counters were reset, which means that you now need 42 referrals to get a Gladius, whereas only 10 referrals were needed in the old program. In return, CIG has increased and diversified the low-level rewards, with a reward for each level up to level 10, but these are mainly hangar decorations and FPS equipment, except for the Pulse after 4 referrals.

The progression ladder is also shorter: where it used to take 2017 referrals to access the Javelin, it now takes "only 1042 referrals" to access the Idris-M. It should also be noted that the new progression ladder has fewer ships than the old one, but it is more qualitative, offering the Scythe and exclusive liveries.

So now I have to earn 42 referrals to access the Gladius, when I was only a few referrals away from getting it. Is this a joke?

Actually, no. If you already had recruits BEFORE the transition on July 2, 2025, your progress on the legacy ladder remains active, as do the referrals you have already earned, and any new referrals earned will apply to both the new progression ladder AND the old one. This allows you to continue your journey to the Gladius at 10 referrals while earning rewards from the new program. For example, if you were 4 referrals short of Gladius, when you earn those 4 referrals, you will receive Gladius and Pulse.

Of course, you will receive Gladius from the old reward tier, so without the "Dunlevy" livery. If you want this livery, you will need to earn the Gladius at 42 referrals.

What about the Million Mile High Club?
Is it no longer accessible?

Unfortunately not. Unless CIG decides to open up access in some other way, it is currently no longer possible to gain access to this private area of the game.
